The fabrication technician position performs tasks involved in the production of the company’s generator enclosures. This includes welding, assembling, and use of fabrication shop equipment. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and secure.

- Perform work as assigned by department supervisor

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The position is very active and requires standing; walking; bending; kneeling; stooping; using hands to handle or feel; climbing ladders; and reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Typical hours of work: Monday – Friday; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- 12-hour shifts, overtime, and weekend hours as necessary.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
Willing to train, but previous welding, fabrication, and assembly experience is preferred.
